Pulling Nettles

Nettles;  they really nettle (irritate or annoy) me! 

They are supposed to be very nutritious, and are said to taste like spinach.  They don't.

They are said to relieve arthritis pain and inflammation with repeated contact.  They don't.

Here is what I know for sure they do.  It's TRUE.







Here is what has been said will relieve the pain of contact with nettles.

Look for a plant called the "dock plant". This plant usually grows low conveniently around nettles. It has large leaves and a thick stem.

• Alternatively, look for a jewelweed or curled lock plant.

Snap off a leaf with a stem. Rub the leaf on the affected area and you should feel relief within a half hour. If not, repeat.

Tried it. Didn't work.  Wearing heavy duty work gloves - even two pair at once - does work.
